The Harz Narrow Gauge Rly [HSB] is celebrating the 75th birthday of 99.6001 which was intended to be the prototype of a new "standard" locomotive fleet for the region; details at http://www.hsb-wr.de/news/news-details/artikel//75-jahre-dampflokomotive-99-6001/

Happy birthday 99.6001 - cracking loco - many a kilometre behind her I believe just as she returned to traffic after overhaul in February - she regularly runs about 35,000 kilometres per annual, according to the Harz Chief Engineer - and we worry about wearing out UK locos running half that!
