GWRPG’s ‘Birkenhead’ features in BBC’s Bargain Hunt programme

    The GWRPG’s locomotive ‘Birkenhead’ was featured in BBC’s Bargain Hunt on Saturday 8th April 2017, at 12.15pm, they conducted their programme from the Elsecar town area in Barnsley and used the loco as an introduction and the BBC gave us two credits, the locomotive and the group by name. It can be viewed via Iplayer.

    This locomotive is due to be steaming again at the Elsecar Heritage Railway site from the Easter weekend. Some remedial work was required since last years steaming and is all now completed and running tests and examinations are being carried out this week.
