    The hydrant on platform 12 at Crewe has over recent years lost pressure, and it now seems to take 40mins+ to deliver 3,000 gallons and to fill two tenders........

    REG the water carrier has a max capacity of approx 3000 gallons dependent on how many bags of coal we have hidden in there also. It eliminates one water stop in either direction; for this trip we still needed to refill both REG and the Hall at Chester.

    Crewe P12 is also becoming an issue for gauging. We couldn't get the A4 through P12 northbound when we tried.
