Sorry if there is already a thread which I can't see.

Having noticed that the basic timetables are out for the event, can anyone explain which set of passenger stock is allocated the letters A,B,C and RB? Thanks.

Disappointing to hear, the GCR,will be erecting platforms in and around Quorn, for filming of the event. So if your planning taking pictures from the viewing gallery, be prepared for orange jackets on the ground, & orange jackets in the sky. Think there planning on setting up by the mail bag pick-up, which is directly in front of the gallery section. Don't usually object to things like this, but after there woeful video of their Swithland gala event, can't say I'm to happy with their decision.

To be fair, there's usually loads of orange jackets around the TPO drop area anyway. There's to be one scaffold platform north of the station and a second by the TPO drop. There are other spots available on the 8-mile line!

If the purpose is for the GCR to produce a video to sell and promote the railway, which enables them to restore locos and put on spectacles like the Autumn and Winter Galas, then I can just about cope with it.

My issue is with the standard of video. I know of at least four videographers/YT producers that would be more than willing to share there footage with the railway, to make a far more professional video. In turn, going the extra mile to help the railway, with the selling of the video. Also the railway, wouldn't have to go through all the trouble with bringing in scaffolding and local uni student's to shoot the video.

Just back from the first day of the gala no sign of the scaffold towers around Quorn trains were well filled and run to time.

All but 78019 are currently facing Leicester.

Does anyone know why the minerals hauled by 92214 was let out of Loughborough 15-20 minutes earlier than planned? We had aimed to get a shot of her but she left about 5 minutes after we arrived at Loughborough when the timetable appeared to say the passenger should have gone out first?

Was great to finally see the D49 though,

Thanks, where do you get the times for the minerals, freight etc? Are they available on the day?

10am Saturday - it's not that bad weather wise here at the moment. Cloudy and grey with occasional drizzle, rather than bucketing it down. Forecast to clear up this afternoon, and looking much better for tomorrow.

As I'm unable to attend neither the Gala nor any of the charters, does anyone know if the D49 will see any use on the weekend of the 12th/13th?
