The seventh annual totallyTransport event takes place on Sunday 26 June 2011 on New South Promenade. Classic cars and buses will line the Promenade from Blackpool Pleasure Beach down past the Solaris centre towards Starr Gate. Virtually a mile of classic vehicles on display with sales stands and entertainment at Solaris. Blackpool's famous trams will also be running to the event which starts at their Pleasure Beach terminus

If you have a bus or car that you would like to bring please click here for our entry forms:

This will also link you to further details about the event.

If you know anyone else who may be interested in exhibiting but hasn't previously, please do pass this information on.

    Regards
    Paul Turner

Cheers for that Paul - one to look forward to after the 'winter of discontent' around Blackpool's roads and public transport mayhem!

Only two weeks to go John, before we get some tram therapy - and the bus pass works on them too this year!

The trouble is its flexxities next year!

If we get the 64 flairbird back I would like to bring it over - its a bit faster than the Leyland - but its not much more economical! 15 mpg plays 10! Hopefully the last parts order between it and the road is now in play! Just have to make sure we don't park it anywhere embarrassing.

Where you going - Crich? According to the Metro coastlines website 'the tramway is closed until further notice.' Cleveleys is still very much in bits and the central promenade is closed to traffic until July! Maybe someone else knows whats happening ?

The tramway is due to reopen at Easter, though the northern terminus is yet to be advised. Training is currently underway Pleasure Beach-Foxhall, it would be possible to operate to Tower and work appears sufficiently complete on the track and overhead realignment as far as North Pier. There is a chance the track will be complete as far as Cabin or even Little Bispham by then. Most of the outstanding work is between Anchorsholme and Rossall

Sounds like a good event, I may have to make space in my diary and see if I can attend. It isn't any relation to my website http://totally-transport.co.uk, though!
