The ELR and CFPS have announced a charter taking 60103 from Bury to Holyhead and return, throughout. Stock is to be provided by WCRC with a provisional departure time of around 07.15 from Bury. Two options, off at Llandudno Jnc for a coach hop to Llandudno, or stay on for the race to Holyhead, giving about 2 hours whilst they turn, water and feed the horse. Tickets are on sale from the ELR and CFPS, booked yesterday.

The 14 tables for 2 First Class are already sold out.
Tour details have also now been added to the ELR website.

Just received an email from ELR, train is cancelled due to late announced engineering work. Tour to be re-arranged but no date given. Oh well, was looking forward to a gallop along the North Wales Coast.

The one-way tours the CFPS were running with 40145 are also cancelled.

Just have to be content with the thoroughbred running on the ELR this weekend. Here's a shot of the last train yesterday cantering past Burrs on it's way back to the stable. Only a handful of punters on the train, not surprisingly as the schools are back and the rather steep pricing. P1070805.JPG

It was also announced on the unofficial East Lancs Railway Facebook group too at around 9.30pm last night.

Hoping that the other tour with 60103 on the 22nd September doesn't get affected.
