According to the A1slt site, Tornado will be at the ELR again for this
Saturday 20th - Tuesday 30th October - East Lancashire Railway

Could we expect the A3 in steam for this perhaps?
No other guests are confirmed but I'm guessing that considering 45337 is due back in may, then this will be her first gala back since 2010.

    Thanks
    Matt

60163 now not visiting. Only 'Confirmed' guest is the N2. Anyone heard anything else about the gala?

ELR have stated on their unofficial forum that any additional guest engines to appear at the Gala will be announced when the agreements/contracts have been signed.

80098 is out of ticket at Butterley, 80080 is at ELR - not sure why it isn't available.

Even so, it looks like a good balance of east meets west meets industry, notwithstanding any withdrawals

Would anyone from the ELR be able to shed any light on whether there will be a photographic runpast at Burrs?

Yes there will be run pasts both mornings with 61306. Not sure on the consists of the stock yet.
46236: if you want to pay for more visitors then contact the finance team. I'm pretty sure you know who they are.

We are planning a night shoot on the steam shed at the moment. As soon as full details of this and the runpasts are finalised we will let you know.

On Friday 19th October we will be holding a night shoot in conjunction with the steam gala. The theme as the gala will be of an eastern variety and will feature the b1 and the gner tank engine. Both will be lit seperately and together. these are the only two engines that will feature in the shoot as we have done the other locos on many other occasions.

The shoot will start at 1845hrs and finish at 2100hrs prompt. Cost will be £15 as usual paid on the night and will take place in front of the steam shed as on previous occasions.

Any queries please feel free to email me at elrnumber1@gmail.com

Perhaps 46236 would like to contact the finance team at the ELR as suggested above and I'm sure he would be given some financial home truths...
