The site has been updated today with pictures of the two Class 50s returning to Kingswear. No descriptions as yet though, sorry.
I'm also informed that they will be heading, and not banking, 60009 later today from Kingswear to Newton Abbot.
I will include some pictures from Newton abbot of they together, and also leaving apart!

OK, you may have noticed that DEVON STEAM is filling up with more pictures of Diesel locomotives etc.
I've decided that ist about time I started another fotopic site, DEVON DIESELS

It's still in its early stages but hopefully ALL of the Diesel stuff will be transferred over fairly soon.

    Hi DevonSteam
I have just recently purchased a 350D, which i am very pleased with. Have just tried my first attempt at night time photography with the Black 5 the other night. All of the pictures are blurred, as the loco was moving. I see that you have some good pictures on your web site taken at night, was just wondering if you used the flash?
    Thanks

    Hello there,

No I dont use the flash. Most of mine are static, and I mainly use the TV setting, ISO of 100 with the camera on a tripod.

Use the timer setting as the camera will close the shutter without any movement, or you could purchase a remote shutter release.

I have played with different shutter speeds etc to see which comes out best!

If you dont feel like going somewhere public to try it out, then why not got out in your back garden?? You'll be surprised at how little light you actually need!!
