A simple question or two to those that are haulage gurus:

Has DEMU 205 205 ever run in preservation?

If not, was it a failure before withdrawal?

    Thanks in advance

I dont think so, i remember reading on the NYMR forum that it suffered wheelset damage during delivery and for various reason things never got going after that. Looks like it has a good future on the EOR though.

Chris is more of less spot on - there was a short test run whilst the line was under winter's engineers possession but during this the fam motor clutch failed, and it was "sold as seen" in this condition and has now, i beleiev, been repaired at ROR.
