    The Dean Forest Railway are holding a gala event this weekend featuring a variety of locomotives with something for everybody.

    The line up is :

    GWR 2-6-2T 'Small Prairie Tank' number 5541
    Hunslet 0-6-0ST 'Austerity' number 3806 'Wilbert' (Sunday only)
    BR 0-6-0 Class 08 Shunter 08769 (D3937) 'Gladys'
    BR Electro Diesel Class number 73 number 73001
    BR Class 108 2-car DMU set made from numbers E56019 and M56492

    Two rakes of Mark 1 coaches and Goods alongside the DMU.

    Unsure, but the new purpose built cafe at Norchard may be open. Previously advertised were brakevan rides, there are lay overs for the Goods train with locomotives so I wonder if this is when they will take place, but nothing has been mentioned more recently.

    The weather should be fantastic for an ice cream this weekend, and as far as I know nothing much is happening gala wise so this could be the answer to fill your diary.
