Do not forget the original saviour of the K4, without whom Mr. Cameron would not have been able to add it to his collection. Other than that, I agree with what you've said.

Agreed: I have put my money into the P2 fund because I want to see a P2 as a living, breathing thing. Of secondary importance is that hopefully one day, when I'm just a name on a gravestone my great-nephew can point to 2007 and say "my great-uncle helped fund the building of that."

From recollection this topic was done to death when the loco was moved last time from ELR to Crewe? (someone correct me if that is wrong) and many members where up in arms about the decision to move being taken with little/no consultation with the membership. From the limited reading of posts on here and in SR the group seems to have become a little fiefdom....

Has anyone actually contacted the trust to ask them whether or not these rumours are true or not? And if so, have they recieved a reply? I hate to sound like I'm at work here, but unless anything has been proven, how do we know it is a fact?

And also, does anyone in the trust read these pages, or has anyone pointed them in the direction of this thread? OK, granted, from the comments above - I can't really say much on this front as I don't know anyone involved in the trust - they seem to be unwilling to listen to outside opinions, but it's worth a shot, non?

I was half-tempted to send the chairman an email outlining my concerns and raising the suggestions I made in my previous posts to him. Worth a shot? Mind you, if he fails to respond to an article in Steam Railway about funding, what are the chances he'll reply to little old me?...

    Your thoughts?

To be honest Ian I think there's nothing to lose by trying to contact Mr Mojonnier , but why do I think it'll be a waste of time? Unless there's a huge sea change by Lizzie's current owners I can't see a working future for a wonderful piece of history.

My thought are that, were I in their shoes, bearing in mind the amount of abuse and insult that has come their way on this thread, I would communicate with anyone with a connection to NP shortly after I had successfully achieved peace in the middle east.

Criticism and abuse and insult is not the same thing, criticism seems to be justified in this case, given the piece written by Tyelsey a little while ago.

I have done the same thing for the same reason but if it steams in 2021 I sincerely hope that I will be there to see it and I trust you hope for the same thing

Maybe so, but if I, as a neutral party, construe some of the content as abuse and insult, then how likely is it that the victims won't?

If there's one thing I really hate, it's people taking vicarious offence by proxy.

Just the same for me. Hang around for a bit beyond 2021 though, I've got my bet on mainline operational in 2024.

That would be - all being well here - an interesting 60th birthday present for me!

There is quote from him in Steam Railway from a few months ago I'll try and dig that out. From memory it sort of criticises Tyseley but CM is very careful in he what he says, I think this may have something to do with Mr Whitehouse being a retired soliciter!
