    Guys,

We've just issued invites for 2 charters (on a weekend!) at the CVR. The invite went out this morning and they'll already half full but if you fancy further details send me a PM you'd be most welcome to join us.

We're really excited about this and are extremely grateful to the CVR for approaching us to run them. A bit more info below:

Standard 4 Tank number 80072 is visiting the line for its “Winter Gala” fresh from overhaul at Llangollen, this will be locos first trip away from it’s home base.

The great news is with the charters running Saturday and Sunday there’s no need to book any leave!

The loco is going to be facing north to make the most of the winter light, we will have sole line occupation all day including the section to Oakamoor. Any lunch break will be kept to a minimum to maximise photography time.

    Saturday
A BR era freight, the consist is likely to be: (as a minimum) 5 box vans, 1 open wagon, LMS bogie bolster and a single brake van.

    Sunday
The train will be a BR era parcels train, the consist is likely to be: 3 box vans, 3 maroon bogie GUV’s (or similar) and a maroon half brake coach marshalled at the rear of the train.

The charters are a very reasonable £37 per day and we will need to limit the numbers on the Saturday due to the single brake van.

Just an update on our charter(s). The Sat is now full but we do have a few places left for the Sunday, send me a PM if you're interested.

As a reminder, the Sunday will feature a parcels train.

    Regards,
    Matt.
