Observed earlier today with 60009 leading and 47 832 trailing - which I will have to look at the video again, but seemed to be dead? Splendid display from 60009 climbing towards Tallington :)

Magnificent! A gentleman with me at the crossing I saw her at was fighting the sun practically straight down the barrel of his lens - but he got a great shot nonetheless!

A slightly exciting scene from Copmanthorpe of an early Union overtaking a late Sutherland. IMG_0204 (2).JPG IMG_0207 (2).JPG
A scene only witnessed by myself and another guy at the other side of the crossing. It was pretty special to see!

Even though it'll be pitch black and cold, I shall still turn out to see 6233 on the return leg :)

Bit of a dilemma today 35028 heading west or No 9. As the latter may not be around for much longer I opted to go east. Seen approaching Manea soon after sunrise and leaving March DRS after the pathing stop

Thanks John, The first one was almost in the semi dark 2500 ISO job but looks OK in b/w. The second was a bit of nostalgia, my mother's family come from March and I spent a lot of time there in my spotting days, saw my first Gresley Pacifics in exactly that spot, I went there with my cousin when they were doing ECML diversions. I was nine year's old at the time. Always looked forward to our annual trip to see family. Rounded off today with a cup of tea at the very same cousin's house!

Was planning to go out for that but I've had a procedure on my wrist and I'm not allowed to drive for a few days. Amazing how your mates are suddenly unavailable when you need a lift. :(

Some pictures of Number 9's run to York this morning.

Sun shining on those gathered at Turves:

Following a chase up the A1 which got me there with a few minutes to spare, a bit duller at Grove Road Crossing Retford.

Finally got it again the other side of Retford after the stop in Babworth Loop.
