I decided to go down to the Bluebell on Saturday. Due to the icicles in Sharpthorne/West Hoathly tunnel services were only running between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes. http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/blueb ... jan09a.jpg shows the reason for suspension of service!

The upside of this meant an hourly (ish - except for for the late running!) service between SP and HK with 9017. A few shots from a very chilly day up now at

Wow it was cold for the first shot! The mud in the field had frozen solid!

Sharpthorne is quite well know for that, years ago when it was disused I photographed it somewhat worse and was horrified to watch children playing inside.
