    This link will take you to a web presentation by the former and current Chief Civil Enginers of the SRPS to the Glasgow section of the Permanent Way Institution. It is primarily about PW but does cover other aspects of the CE dept. I am biased but I think it is interesting and informative as it directly relates to all heritage railways.
