    Hello All,

I stumbled across this picture of a Baldwin Pacific at Lanberis in the 70's. Can anyone shed any information on it?

    Thanks in advance!

Tony Hills used to have his stock at Llanberis before he set up the Brecon Mountain Railway. Is it now at Pant ?

The "Helen Kathryn", ex LLR, is on the South Tynedale Railway:

Edit: Oops, got confused then that was a Henschel not a Jung...

Must make a distinction between the Llanberis Lake Railway and Hills & Bailey, Llanberis. I don't think (though I'm open to correction) that the LLR ever had an O&K?

Jung 7509 GINETTE MARIE was at LLR, and is now at Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum, Norfolk.
Jung 1261 was at Hills & Bailey, and is now GRAF SCHWERIN-LOWTZ at Brecon.
O&K 5662 EIGIAU was at Hills & Bailey, went to Bressingham and is now at Bredgar.
O&K 12722 was at Hills & Bailey, went to Brecon, and is now at Bredgar.

The other Baldwin being built/restored at Brecon, is it the same class as their current one?

No that's Baldwin 15511 the 2-6-0 one that Mike Hart bought and dumped in Minffordd yard for years. It's now being rebuilt into a 2-6-2 i believe. I think Winsons did some work on the bottom half of it while it was at the FR so i expect that will all need to be rectified before it works again.

Was this loco stored in a gated off tunnel at Llanberis?
I seem to remember peering through the gaps of a door at something in a tunnel.

This would be 76 the day the drought ended as the window on my van was stuck down, I got soaked driving back to Southport over the pass.
