Crewe Heritage Centre will be hosting another of its successful Railwayana Auctions on Saturday October the 29th. As before the auction will feature a host of lots for all pockets from the steam era through to modern traction. Lots once again vary in size from Buttons and Paperwork through China Tea Cups and Posters to Cast Iron Signs, Totems, Loco Nameplates, Complete Signals and Locomotive Parts.

Viewing on Saturday is between 07:30 and 10:30 When the Auction starts. Whilst the Auction is going on all of the Heritage Centres attractions will be open and we hope subject to availability to have a train running. The centres popular driver for a fiver trains (with a diesel) will also be operating. As usual there will be a free vintage shuttle bus between Crewe Railway Station and the Heritage Centre on the day of the auction.

On the evening of Friday the 28th the Heritage Centre will be open from 17:00 to 19:30 for the people of Crewe and Nantwich to come in and see what the auction is about and to bring in their Railway items for a free evaluation.

NB Admission to the Auction on the Saturday is by catalogue only. The FREE catalogue can be obtained by calling 01948 665570. A small number of catalogues are expected to be available on the gate the day of the auction”.

The Auction also represents one of the first oportunities that people will have to see the recently saved LNWR Steam Crane at its new home.
