This week in South Africa the steam tug Alwyn Vintcent will be moved from Cape Town Harbour to Villiersdorp to the local Tractor Preservation Club.
The distance between the two towns is relatively short but because of the size of the ship and the 88 wheeled trailor carrying it it will take over 3 days and will travel nearly 500 km. The ship is to be preserved and restored to working condition, no mean feat for a few collectors of old tractors.
ST Alwyn Vintcent coal fired steam pilot tug
    Cheers Bernard
