Dennis Howell’s GWR pannier tank completes the WSR’s ‘Great Western Routes & Branches’ theme of the event, and joins previously announced Swindon-built visitors ‘Modified Hall’ No. 6990 Witherslack Hall (courtesy of the Great Central Railway), and ‘57XX’ No. 7714 and ‘14XX’ No. 1450, from the Severn Valley Railway.

Completing the line-up of visiting engines is Greg Wilson’s Churnet Valley Railway-based ‘S160’ 2-8-0 No. 6046.

Three of the West Somerset’s resident steam fleet will be in action at the March 22-25 event: ‘Modified Hall’ No. 6960 Raveningham Hall, ‘Manor’ No. 7822 Foxcote Manor and ‘7F’ No. 53808.

The ‘Manor’, which is normally based at the Llangollen Railway, is on long-term hire from the Foxcote Manor Society, and is expected to remain on the Bishops Lydeard-Minehead line for the rest of the year.
