The first Newsletter of the 762 Club (to build a new Lyn for the L&B) has recently been mailed to members.
Impressive developments already in planning the new loco - and the cab will shortly be made.
For more details and information on joining the club via share purchase, or sponsoring parts of the loco, keep checking the website: www.762club.com
Sponsorship info due to be posted by the end of July. \:D/

Reminds me of when Little Noddy was building a house and said "Let's put the roof on first" !!

Seriously, on the three occasions when we have constructed steel cabs away from the rest of a loco (two diesels and one steamer) and then brought them together for assembly, there always seems to be some detail measurement wrong that entails much swearing and bashing of metal to make them fit. Is Lyn's cab mostly metal or mostly wood, American-style ?

What happened to the rest of this thread ?

...and why does my username now have "imported_" in front of it ?

I had to request a new password and I found that too! Then I realised that there were two e-mail responses, one giving my name as Steve and another as imported _Steve. I went through the whole thing again and used the one with Steve and it sorted it all out.

Must say I'm not too keen on what I've seen so far but that is probably my old age resisting change.

    Imported and Not Imported

Just realised that I had the same two e-responses, so have gone through the rigmarole again and hopefully lost the "imported" tag.

Now what has happened to the personal photos ?

Seems a bit silly to change given the old format was much nicer.

    New Forum Format

Just been into the "About Me" section and there doesn't seem to be a way to upload photos any more - shame that, the old version with the photos was more interesting to look at.

I thought the mods had closed this thread before the GREAT CHANGE!
Might be an idea to do that again?
