    Anyone know how 5541's overhaul is progressing, and when it is likely to return to the DFR?
    The website still says 2012, but I'd prefer some more reliable info...

    The boiler was complete and awating a hydraulic test at LNWRH Crewe 6 years ago, not sure whether it ever got done though.

    That would sort of tie up with this photo then. I've only ever seen Crewe put the loco number on the boiler.

    There are some prairie side tanks and a cab at the DFR atm, I think...

    Someone has posted on facebook that she has since returned to Norchard for the completion of her overhaul.
