I had a fiddle with the other photo. I couldn't get rid of all the purple, but I think it's a slight improvement.

That's odd, the version I saw after following the link to it didn't have the header, the letter started with the title. Curious.
Two things struck me as odd about the, now withdrawn, letter.
1. There was no company 'header' on it.
2. It wasn't signed.
Which makes me wonder...
That website lists 6042 as "stored", but looking at the photos of it I would think "left abandoned in a field to rust away" would be more accurate.
