...and a signalman in a proper box would have sent 'stop and examine' to the next cabin after seeing the open door in the 'Scots' support coach!
Awesome stuff! It left me with with one thought...'I want to go there!'
Thanks for posting it :)
Another comprehensive update from the trust. It pleases me that they have kept members fully in the loop throughout the whole overhaul process...
I've seen pictures of todays train with 3 x 50's on the front in instagram...captioned 'The Norovirus Express.' Very violent and unpleasant illness!
...and some of us saw them being built in Doncaster (never got to look around EE @ Newton-Le-Willows)!
Some of us remember them when they were in that livery the first time around!
Thanks Alan. I went up on the train (first trip by rail for 20 months) and was hoping for a break in the cloud...but alas no luck :(
'Les Ross' made a fine sight today as it called at Preston with the northbound CME :) @Victor 's fav 'lecky!
Was wonderful to be on the platform at Oxenholme to watch 'Galbertaleone' through today. Jubilee 'roar' at it's noisy best!
No doubt about that...good point, well made.
Lovely capture Ian. It falls into the 'wish I'd taken that' category!
How much were the tickets for this unique 'photo charter?'
It does, but I still think it's a shade or two lighter than the original (at least in my memory box).
Agreed! When the Mk3 coaches first appeared, I thought 'Blue Pullman design!'
Cruising along the WCML at Woodacre, returning ECS from Dundee - Crewe this afternoon. Great livery for a very dull day!
Is SNG ready then? Wow! ;)
Good to see 'boat car 227' out and about today and full of passengers. The 'Heritage Operation' seems to fit in well with the normal service...
A fine sight through Bamber Bridge (from foot crossing east of the station).[ATTACH]
No sorry...its uncredited from some random facebook page.
A tad overloaded @Victor ?
