No I do not currently volunteer
Had a visit to Whipsnade yesterday - for animal viewing rather than steam, but got a ride behind Excelsior. Always good fun, and some decent gradients and loadings.
Throughout the day you get great background noise of occasional whistles and hard working loco from anywhere in the zoo.
Superior was visible as we passed the shed - anyone know if Chevallier is still there?
Best train if the day, though, was the elephants walking around the paths each holding the tail of the one in front with its trunk!

Yea, Chevallier is still there and Superior has just started her 10 year overhaul.

AFAIK Chevalier is owned still by Bill Parker at the Flour Mill, but resides at Whipsnade.
