Excellent trip on Saturday. As a six year old living a few miles away I travelled on the 100th Anniversary specials from Chesham to Watford with my parents, which later correlated into Steam on the Met, but Youtube indicates that featured steam one way and Sarah Siddons the other, with NSE stock. This time we had steam both ways, and original Metropolitan stock, creating a fantastic experience for everyone, and one that will live long in my memory. I grew up travelling along the line from Amersham into London, but the only time I had previously travelled the Chesham branch was on that trip 25 years ago. I was surprised at just how picturesque and steep it is, and indeed 5521 slipped mightily on the way into Chesham on our run. It was an excellent experience, and I hope that we will see such trips again in the future.

Did anyone film or phot the train coming UP the bank towards Chorleywood station? There's a good location in the station car park, which I used several times in years past.

Yes I am an active volunteer
A tad late I know. but I've finally managed to sort my images out, from the Saturday!

I wasn't happy with them as the light on the day was to put it politely - horrid!

So. after much procrastination and gnashing of teeth, I'm finally happy with what I got!

I stayed well away from the branch as there's nowhere to photograph from the lineside, and I REALLY wasn't in the mood to jostle for position or have someone shove a camera/phone or computer or whatever into my shot at the last second!

So here are my humble efforts from the day - enjoy! :)
