She will be on her own, but if everything falls into place we may be able to double head her with 3902

Looks stunning! Is the name a new addition or has it been resurrected from previous?

Really want to get to one of the open days- I could do with a quarry Hunslet fix and I am still yet to see Michael (or is it Maid Marian?) or King of the Scarlets!

Well as the loco has been revealed can only assume no surprises on the 13th. Looking forward to another Statfold day out.

It's a week away, plenty of time for Statfold to rebuild another loco from scrap condition.

Michael appears to be all Michael!!

Its King of the Scarlets which appears to be a lot of Maid Marian :)

Well the previous owner was called Barry, and he had named it Josephine so assume it is a new addition unless it was her original name?

One assumes it must be a past identity as it appears to carry "no 2" on one of the cab sides?

Wasn't one of the new build Wren's called Howard? After Graham Lee's father? As that's now moved on and been renamed perhaps this loco has been chosen to carry the name.

Love the lining by the way and the Indian red frames too. Can't wait to see it on Saturday.

I believe, this is the third engine to carry the name horward at statfold now.

1st - The wren now called Jennie
2nd- The Jung which i believe was swapped for HC

It is indeed named after Grahams father.

No 2 was the number it carried in Scotland.

Coincidentally both locos that have left here named Howard were renamed Jenny!

If 1842 ever leaves it will need to go to some one whose wife is named Jenny too !

My mistake of course, the Jung not the O&K is the loco in Kent!

The BBC has the weather for this weekend as overcast, as yet it does not suggest rain (or snow as on my last visit!!!)

Looking forward to it, this year is the first my daughter is old enough to sample the delights of the SBR. Hopefully she will be as impressed as I have been on each of my visits.

Unless the roster has changed, please come and say hello to me in the garden and (hopefully) a very nice green quarry Hunslet.......
