Why should those of us involved with CVR/MCR have to justify our workings to a pc troll, who sole aim is to discredit the entire project simply because he had a falling out with individuals involved with the railway a number of years ago?

The railway (and its people) have moved on, so should he. The details in operations of a Private Company are not something for discussion in a public domain IMO, though some of us volunteers will give a small insight into some of the going ons. But even then we are not privvy to everything.

Going purely by what clog&knocker has said here, and having no other knowledge about him, it seems to me that he has chosen his alias very well indeed. Clomp about in clogs, and knock the people in M&C and CVR who are getting on with various worthwhile jobs. I suggest the next step for most of us is to click on his name and select "Ignore".

Been told today that Cloggy has been causing similar problems at Foxfield and trespassing on their track too..my way of thinking is that because he works on the railway he thinks he can wander onto any railway without permission...maybe its time to move on in your life Matt and try not to be so wound up and bitter about something you have no control over whatsoever and never will have...you had your chance to be a part of this railway but that didn't work out...life is too short for dwelling on the same old things over and over again

Back to action. After felling the trees near Bridge 8 two weeks ago today we started the tidying up operation and burnt all the small stuff so that if the dry weather continues there is nothing for the steam service to Ipstones this weekend to set fire to.

MCR has no staff, no rolling stock, no traction no freight contract, no depot and no TWO. There is nothing to discuss with NR until some of these things happen, all they've got is a long term lease that they paid for with a pint and a bag of crisps. As for backing up what I say: Lil bear jon jon kerr has already said that the Froghall Oakamoor line is being ripped up to pay for the extension to Leek, so MCR are not even paying for that.

MCR are dealing with all the legal issues, whilst CVR will assist with the actual infrastructure.
We can't expect to get a mile extension into the biggest town in the area at no cost to ourselves though, why should someone else do all the hardwork only for the CVR to reap the rewards? Reconnect Leek will be set up to protect both companies, but at present we are simply waiting for the Council decision on the planning application for new houses at LBJ whose proceeds will be used to finance the majority of the extension. At the moment though we just need to be patient, the Council ain't gong to hurry up just because we want them to.

The CVR has undergone a significant change in the last 5yrs I've been involved, with people moving onto other things and new people coming. Can't comment on what went before, but is the £20/yr for Trust membership really too much to ask for what you get back? I get to operate all the various locomotives on the line, and if I did it as a Driver Exp I'm looking at £200+ so in my mind £20 is more than a fair deal.

As for your "banning", no offence but the lack of subs isn't the biggest crime in the world. However your method of response since is, seeing as you've rarely had anything nice to say about the CVR both publicly/privately. This is what's got peoples backs up, and why many have very little time for you. If we continually dismissed something you put your all into you'd feel the same towards us.

    Mate

I have done my best to be sympathetic to you. You obviously like railways, but honestly you need to stop and think about what exactly you are trying to achieve here. You obviously don't have a good word to say about the CVR or MCR, that's been clear for months, you're obviously unhappy. But why keep making yourself unhappy? Why keep inflicting your own personal grudge on everyone else?

Go and find something useful and constructive to do with your life, you owe it to yourself, never mind everyone else.

Good luck in whatever you do but please, go away.

Just because people don't like what C&K has to say does that mean that he does not have a right to say it? I would have thought that as long as it is not libellous or insulting, then he has as much right as anyone else to express his opinion. As has been said elsewhere, if you don't like it, don't read it?

More bare faced lies, I have not voiced any criticism of the Foxfield and have not been anywhere near their railway since I was a paying guest over a year ago. What is the basis of your libelous allegations?
