I saw her heading through Wrexham on time. However, she stopped short of the platform and the crew got off for around one minute and checked the port-side motion. When she restarted , I noticed she was defiantly missing a beat. "1-2-3-4-5-x, 1-2-3-4-5-x". For the 'x', think silence... nothing, not even a hiss! It seemed to accelerate okay but just didn't sound right! Trouble ahead possibly?

Galatea forging up Gresford Bank earlier today, with a hint of "V2" in the soundtrack............

Excellent shots Chris - the sequence with the distant signal is an absolute gem.

Thank you David. The signal compromised my shot of the train but I just couldn't resist getting it in somehow. It's nice to record as much of this lineside furniture while we still can. Like regular steam, one day it will all be gone.

It would seem that this suspected problem did not materialise.
