I'm guessing that the 11:32 & 13:32 on the Saturday will be the staff & VIP trains. I'm also guessing that like the May runs the 10:22 will be Wembley Park to Amersham steam hauled, the 17:32 Amersham to Harrow-On-The-Hill diesel hauled and the rest will be Amersham to Harrow hauled by a diesel and the return by steam.

First episode features the LU150 event in May with the Met 1 Tank in action. Looks like a good series. GWR Heavy freight loco 3802 also featured in the advert shown this evening.

 

Have seen a preview copy of Sunday night's first Hairy Bikers' episode (part of my tough job). The first visit to Met 1 (at the London Transport Museum Depot Acton) is 15 minutes in and lasts around 11 minutes. Includes some detail of interest to me (though no doubt very basic stuff for most on this forum) both on the footplate and around the engine as they fire up the boiler and get up to steam. Returning at 48 minutes in for six minutes of Saturday May 25 footage from Wembley Park, Amersham and elsewhere. They point out that the May celebration was not underground but fail to mention the LU150 event in January which was. But some nice stuff in there and they do convey the thrill / excitement / appreciation of the celebrations. As one of them says: "It's been a piece of magic."

A friend of mine has just advised me that the Met tank is out and about today seen going north thru' Rickmansworth a bit after 11 o/c barking along nicely with the Met coach and with a quiescent class 20.

 

That explains the stock pile of coal outside the transplant shed in ton bags I saw earlier today. Sarah Siddons with the red 20 plus stock was out in the sunshine earlier, should be visible from the chiltern mainline.

 

Does anyone know the ECS and Light Engine Movement times ahead of the morning runs tomorrow, please? Looking forward to my trip Sunday morning in Met 353.

9466, Met1 and class20 passed successfully just outside Amersham only 5 mins late

 

I saw advertised on the back of this weekends program that there will be steam trains on the Uxbridge branch in December. Dates are TBA.

No l/e move today. L150 + Met 1 both failed. Will be 9466 + 20227/189 all day. 746 already at Harrow 09.33.
