Just a bit of a shot in the dark. Does anyone know if the 4COR driving vehicle that was at the Bluebell is still there , and if so is it visible easily?
    many thanks in advance

Yes it is still there, however it has been moved out of view behind the stock in Platform 1 at HK.

Just a historical snippet - how do you drive a 4 COR? hands free of course!

As a teenager I wandered up to the driving cab of a 4 COR. There is a small window, 6x6 ish, between the guards area and the cab. Peering through I got a shock. The driver was reading the paper with both feet on the control desk with one foot holding down the deadmans. When I visited the Bluebell on one occasion I checked the guards area and the window was there so I was not dreaming.

There are other 4Cor coaches at the East Kent Railway and you can even ride on them! There is only one chance left this year, the EPB Preservation Group's EM Days Gala, Saturday 7th / Sunday 8th September.
See http://www.emudays.co.uk/ for the full timetable for the gala
See http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/preservation/emu-running-days.html for running days for various preserved EMUs
You can find out more about preserved 4Cor 3142 at http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/preservation/3142/index.html and there are photos from it's running day on 14th July this year at http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/preservation/3142/2013-2cor-running-day.html
If you would like to donate towards ongoing restoration and preservation of 3142, please see http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/preservation/3142/donations.html - all donations are much appreciated!

Go it"s a lovely little line when you think of a country branch line this is it, starts at sheperdswell where theres a main line connection its a charming terminus for a preseved line the line has even got a tunnel. This line is the only one my wife goes with me all the others she either stays in the car or does not bother going,
but if i mention the East Kent Railway she goes with me, there are also a lot of charming villages within a five mile radius of what was known as the Kent coal fields area of which have long gone.

I will certainly try always providing one of the big diesels can spare me. That said I have escaped the confines of the engine room a couple of times this year already
