OK, with regard to Statfold, they built at least two small Quarry Hunslets, 'Statfold' and 'Jack Lane':

    Statfold Barn Railway - Locomotives

The Ffestiniog have built two double Fairlies, 'Earl of Merioneth' in 1979 and the more traditional 'David Lloyd George' in 1992. The railway also constructed the single Fairlie 'Taliesin' in 1999.

The Corris Railway completed a replica 'Tattoo' class 0-4-2ST in 2005 and is building a replica Falcon 0-4-2ST which is well advanced. I suppose the Talyllyn's 'Tom Rolt' should be considered as well.

'Lyn' should be moved to in development, given the progress there.

You still need to add 'Fire Fly' at Didcot.

Further ones missed from the list are:

L&B 2-6-2 "Yeo" - The frames were laid in the mid 90s, but have been stored since then - I'm not sure where they are currently, but have been at the Gartell Light Railway and Mangapps Farm.

Quarry Hunslet "Dame Ann" - built by Keefs, tested on the Launceston and shipped out to Alabama. Not quite an accurate replica as it has outside Walschearts valve gear.

Any number of 2' gauge Vertical Boiler contraptions, from the accurate De Winton replica "Taffy", built by Keefs, through the looks-right-but-not-quite-the-same category that encompases David Potter, Ted McAvoy and Roger Lees' "Paddy", Andrew Foulds and Rob Collins' "Leary" and Adam Barber's "Iowerth", to the clearly built in a back shed, but none the worse for it, such as Chis Parmenter's "Perserverance" and John Forshaw's "Forshaw" - all of which were running at Leighton Buzzard last year. John Forshaw's previous contraption "Oddson" may be included in this category as well, though it sadly no longer exists.

If by the inclusion of "Northern Rock" (1972), "Northern Rock II" (1989), and "Cumbria" (1992) (the latter 2 were the ones shipped to Japan, the first is still in service on the Ravenglass and Eskdale) we're including 15" gauge, would the post-preservation "River Mite", built in 1966 for the R&ER Preservation Society by Clarksons of York, count? What of "Lydia" built for Perrygrove in 2008 by Keefs? I'm sure there are others I can't recall off the top of my head here as well.

The L&B replica shipped to Japan mentioned, I think, is actually the Winson Engineering locomotive "Camilla" that was shipped to Argentina for the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino in 1995, though I am prepared to admit there may be another one I don't know about.

If I were to include diesels, then the list would grow exponentially, so I won't....

No Locomotion, Steam Elephant or Puffing Billy? Plus on the Groudle Glen Railway there is a replica of a New Zealand tramway loco completed in 1998 named Annie.

Another to add is Novelty at MoSI (replica or rebuild depending on your view, it contains a few bits off the original)

I think you'll find that the "Quarry Hunslet" that went to the USA was actually built by Trevor & Tony Stirland at Exmoor Steam Centre, not Keefs.

I'm updating my presentation on new build steam and there appears to have been little, if any news on the Swindon and Cricklade Rly based "Galloping Gertie" 2-6-0 new build project since its launch in 2009. I presume this project has reached a struggle factor of 7 early on and it has stalled. However, if anyone has any more news on this project I would be most grateful. I have done some investigating but have drawn a blank so far.

Update on 72010 Hengist. Our home base is the GCR not Dorset although the major frame components are at Ian Rileys awaiting the frame assembly phase.

Bloomer (Wolverton) - this was like 3041 at Windsor, a replica which was displayed for some years on the frontage at Milton Keynes Station. It was getting quite tatty from a cosmetic angle and returned to Wolverton works, a local site http://www.sustainablesurvey.co.uk/portfolio-items/future-wolverton/ says on display soon (covered in June 2013 Wolverton planning application for site of new plinth) and there is a video from works at http://www.mkweb.co.uk/News/Bloomer-set-to-go-on-show-in-town.htm

Claud is still going, we are now planning the first part to be made once the donations reach the target.

Thank you. I was, however, especially interested in the Swindon & Cricklade's project: the Galloping Gertie 2-6-0, of which there appears to be no further development. I guess once there is progress, we'll know about it!

Another Ratty built 15" gauge engine can be found on the very pleasant Heatherslaw Light Railway in Northumberland. There are also two 20" gauge Bagnall 'Sipat' 0-4-0STs under construction for use on the North Bay Railway in Scarborough.

A slight correction: there are two Bagnall locos under construction at Scarborough, but only one is for use there! The other is to be of 2ft gauge and so the wrong gauge. I think the idea is to hire it out wherever it is required.

Effie and Ursula. Both Heywood replica's. Effie is at Cleethorpes and Ursula is at Perrygrove. Both are 15" narrow gauge locomotives.
