Has anyone seen a timetable for this event?

Can't find one on-line, but would like to have an idea when the freight trains are running?

I shall be there on the Saturday. Haven't been to the Llanberis Lake Railway for a number of years.

Just printed off the leaflet, will I be able to purchase a day rover on the day??

I've just spoken to the railway and, yes, you can buy a day rover on the day. Just looked at the timetable in detail though and it's rather frustrating as every train runs non-stop from Llanberis to Penllyn making it rather difficult to swap trains during the day.

A bit late for the event, but it should be noticed that the intermediate stations only have one platform so if trains are passing one of them has to pass through without stopping.

That's true and I can understand that Penllyn bound trains could not stop at Gildach Ddu for that reason, but I can't see why they could not have stopped at Cei Lydan to allow passengers to swap trains with only about a 20 minute wait.

Anyway, as it turned out it wasn't an issue for me as I managed to get the last ticket on the 13.30 steam train on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, so I only did two trips on the LLR - one before and one after my SMR trip.

Completely agree with Malc. As a result of this I broke my journey on return to catch Lilla behind .Then rather than staying headed to the two railways in Porthmadog for Gertrude and Lyd.

I did the same actually, changed trains on the way back for Lilla then headed to Beddgelert for a trip behind 143 and Tan y Bwlch to see Lyd.

It was a good event but difficult to travel behind all the locos because of the passing loop arrangements.
