    It was good to see 1471 again although looking much shabbier. The locomotive spent most of its life shedded at Llantrisant and was usually kept in very clean condition in lined green. It gained some sort of immortality when, in July 1957, it took the first passenger train, since 1895, into the original Cowbridge station. It was also the last.
