Anyone else planning to go to this? I'm heading over on the Friday afternoon and looking forward to it immensely after having a great time at the last two galas with the Railmotor. Not too downhearted by the lack of 4612 as hopefully I can see that plenty of times on service trains this summer, and the three visitors should be excellent.

The timetable looks like it will be two standard passenger sets, with no indication of a goods (bit of a shame I'd say) and I'm assuming none of them are auto trains?

Ah, the published timetable is not clear but I have it on good authority that a goods train will be making four or five trips on each day. There is also a "proper beer" train on the Saturday evening.

The timetable shown on the BWR website shows goods workings - yes there are quite a few.

Can anyone please tell me whether passengers will be allowed to travel on the goods?

Very sad to miss out on this yesterday. Car broke down on Thursday night and was out of action all day while a new alternator was delivered. I only had the afternoon free and looked at getting there by public transport but the trains didn't connect well enough at Parkway to make it really worthwhile in the time I had, and it's a pretty bleak place for hanging around. Looked like a great event.

You get another chance tomorrow; otherwise 27th and 28th April 'Purposeful Panniers' weekend. I hope that you can get to Bodmin to see this Pannier feast; it's worth seeing, even in the awful weather we had today!

There was a link from the home page of their website, but they had removed it when I looked this morning (which seemed a bit daft when there was still one day to go), but itt was (and still is) accessible from the Special Events page.

By the way, I was undecided about going to this gala, but I made the final decision to make the long journey down to Cornwall (and I'm glad I did) when they published the loco diagrams - as has been said before - published loco roster = free advertising = more visitors!

Duplicate post deleted - I blame the dodgy wifi on this voyager!
