    2014 route stage 2 (York-Sheffield) is passing through Keighley, Haworth and Oxenhope

    It will be a challenge for someone to ensure that a nice shiny KWVR steam train appears on the telly EXACTLY as the TdF peloton comes streaming by resulting in free publicity across the world. The TV usually do 'historical context' commentary briefly about the places that the TdF visits, so again the KWVR should try to ensure that they get a mention :) Some stages attract a global TV audience in excess of 20 million and has occasionally been over 40 million......

    Its also going via York, so possibly a publicity opportunity for the NRM
