Severn Valley 5th January - Stanier Mogul Fund day

    I have noticed on the SVR live website that there are three Bridgnorth-Highley return trips featuring 42968 on Saturday 5th January 2013, so presumably the Mogul's last day out before overhaul?

    Along side this is the normal 'Festive Season service' featuring three steam locomotives. Looking at the SVR roster and loco notes, 5164, 2857, 7812 & 4566 will not be available for traffic and with 42968 on her own shareholders special, this leaves three from 1501, 34053, 43106 & 44871 to haul the three public services, as the roster currently only goes up to Friday 4th, does anybody know if details for the 6th will be posted a few days in advance of the 5th? I am tempted to make a visit just to see 42968 one last time, but if 44871 and 34053/1501 were in service it would be added incentive.

    Usually the loco roster appears on the Friday before the weekend. So for the 6th it might not be up until the 5th Jan.

    Yeah I know that, but they have updated a week early for the 29-5th and that's why I have asked. Also I have messed the dates up, the date is Saturday the 5th.

    34053 is mentioned above as a possible, but this loco is currently shown as "failed", but there is as yet no indication as to whether this is immediately repairable, or not

    If the runs with 42968 mentioned by the original poster take place, they are meant to be low-key affairs, and are for Stanier Mogul Fund members. There is no publicity as such.

    34053 won't be out this weekend I doubt as its awaiting assessment/repairs
