    Came across this photo.[IMG]
Uploaded with ImageShack.us On the right you can see a locomotive from FC Hibberd taken during the reconstruction of Berlin just after the war.

Are you sure it is a Hibberd? They did make a "Chinese" copy of the small O&K just as they copied Motor Rail products.

I'm about 99.99% certain, going by the form and the axleboxes.[IMG]

Yes most certainly an F C Hibberd type 39, from the bonnett catches on the first photo, shape of gearbox and shape, size and position of bunker and makers plate on back bunker from second photo.

Looks like East Berlin - slogans along the roadside, and pictures of political figures on the scaffolding. I can't quite make out the text from the image size, although one text says 'Jacques Duclos is free' - according to Wikipedia, this was a French Stalinist communist. Nice. The shape of the building going up was also very East German. (Massive concrete....)
Makes the presence of the English Hibberd even stranger !

We are rebuilding one of these at the moment and are considering putting a collonial style cab on it, however, we only have one very poor photocopied picture of the loco with this cab, does anybody have any photos or advertising literature shoiwing a Hibberd with this style of cab. I would be most grateful, my email is phil@pfss.co.uk. Many thanks

Regrettably no, what dimensions are you after, there are a few around the country to measure up if required.

No, it was just on the off chance that you might have one due to the fact that you are rebuilding one and also to get an idea of size.
In anycase, best of luck with your project.
