    Does anybody know what the motive power is going to be for the coming Santas which start this coming weekend at Butterley .

    73129 is rostered to work all the Santa Special services.

    Slightly off topic but didn't realise the MRC started santas so early. Does any railway start them earlier or indeed as early as the MRC?

    I don't mind imported material apart from where it involves our language. This is Britain and it is the Midland Railway Centre.

    Actually, it's the Midland Railway - Butterley, and has been for about 10 years now! However, I agree with what you're saying.

    We do start our Santa's early, but we get a fair bit of coach traffic on the November weekends which makes it worth doing!
