Does anyone know why several of Clan Line's trips have been cancelled over the next two months? I noticed the other day on UKSteam that a couple of the VSOE workings have been cancelled and one has been changed to Diesel haulage. Today I saw that the UK railtours trip to Oxford on the 11th December has also now been cancelled.

The link does contain some very interesting and depressing stuff, but it doesn't make it any clearer whether the VSOE trip tomorrow is running or not. UKSteam still has no times OR cancellation information, so has a decision still not been made, or is there an information lag here?

Actually, as an afterthought, if 'Clan Line' runs tomorrow, the leaf fall on the Guildford to Redhill section is so bad at present that it will be interesting to see how it copes even with a 67 at the rear - the adhesion is so dire that the FGW 165/166 units have been losing time terribly over the last week or so. I imagine 600 tons or more will be a good test of even TWO locos on this route at the moment!

If adhesion is so poor as you say, then questions should be asked of the RHTT arrangements for the route, though there's a good chance that too is a DBS cock up!.

Not sure down that way but it varies from area to area, DRS are doing the Yorkshire one, and the Brum one is DBS even though some ghastly unit contraption is used rather than Loco's, I think DBS have (or did) the lions share of these turns mind.

Thanks David, so it makes you wonder if the DBS operated ones are also being cut back?

AFAIK, it is DBS(!) operated. Reading the VSOE website, it stated earlier that tomorrows trip will be diesel hauled.

I might be around tomorrow morning for 35028 and will post on here if I hear anything.

Sadly can't make the tour today, but have read on '28 Twitter that she is definitely working the VSOE.

Yes I have just seen that, odd that today's tour does not seem to be listed on the VSOE website anymore, or at least it wasn't when I looked last night.

Do VSOE remove tours from their website once fully booked perhaps ?.

So it is! It was only late last night I was looking and it wasn't. Sounds promising today then, will head out for it then!

As I understand it, they are using the usual times - dep Victoria right time.
