Does this deal have any impact on Hunslet's archive or Statfold activities?

Don't know. The Hunslet Engine Co. is one of the businesses listed on the LH Group website as being acquired by Wabtec. Statfold is not mentioned. Hunslet's separate website appears to have gone off line. Statfold's website makes no mention of the deal but does say their engineering works are privately owned by Graham Lee.

If this deal is going to have any effect it can only be for the betterment of Statfold and the narrow gauge railway collection.

The website seems to have changed addresses a few months ago, with the "www" being removed. Hunslet Engine Company working today.

At the bottom of the article.

"Wabtec has acquired Keelex 351 Ltd, which includes LH Group Holdings Ltd, LH Group Services Ltd, LH Group Wheelsets Ltd, J & D Gears Ltd, Coleman UK Group Ltd, Coleman Hydraulics Ltd, LH Plant (Burton) Ltd, LH Access Technology Ltd, Envirotech Research Ltd, TP (Powder Coating) Ltd, Coleman Manufacturing Ltd, Hunslet Engine Co Ltd and Parts Supply Ltd"

So yes Hunslet Engine Co Ltd is included.

I thought Statfold came under the banner of "Hunslet Steam Co." rather than "Hunslet Engine Co.", so despite the family connection, they may still be seperate companies.

The sale of the LH Group will in no way adversly effect SBR nor the Hunslet Archive.

Hunslet Steam Ltd is a separate entity and is still based at Statfold.

All the historical aspects (names etc) are vested in Hunslet Steam Ltd.
