Great shots guys, just think when they left it would have taken days to get pictures into circulation, now we have them within minutes, such is progress.
What a pity all those hi vis had to get in the way...

As a devout disciple of Sir Nigel Gresley, this is a wonderful moment for me and I just wish we could keep them. Can't wait to see them in the flesh no matter what colour they'll be.

Methinks NRM Shildon will be a popular place this weekend. Is Green Arrow still there? What chance of wheeling her out into the fresh air for the photo-call?

    A4s at Liverpool Docks

The two A4s touched down at Liverpool this morning. A full set of pictures can be seen at facebook.com/heritagerailway where regular updates about their Shildo appearance will be posted, and at www.heritageraillway.co.uk
Video of the unloading of both engines to follow later

Remind young Mr. Sharpe that he predicted just over a week ago that this wouldn't happen. :)

Sadly not, Green Arrow is at York now. The only old shed mate at Shildon would be the J52. I will be heading over once I hear the news they are on site - I live one side of Shildon and work the other so can call that way on my way home and will probably go every weekend to report on progress.

I assume they are not going to NRM on those transport wagons.. Will make abut of a groove in the motorway.
60008 seems to have brought an air pipe with it.

I agree. I have a huge love of Gresley's loco's and the A4's and seeing all 6 together will be fantastic. I mainly can't waqit to see 60010's tranformation back to Coronation form and plus it'll be even with 3 A4's in LNER liveries and 3 in BR livieries but as you say I don't care about colours.

Massive thanks to everybody involved in and 2013 should be a memorable and historic year.

Latest update on HR Facebook page says the loco's won't be leaving the docks until tommorrow due to a paperwork problem..................... Does that mean it wasn't printed out to A4 size? Sorry couldn't resist that.
