    That is a blow but thanks for the headsup Mark. I must admit, I was particularly looking forward to seeing 985 for the first time, but will still attend if the engine is viewable as you say. Perhaps if you would be kind enough to keep us posted on that, it would be much appreciated. Many thanks and very best wishes for a successful gala.

    Thanks for being so understanding guys, we're gutted to say the least. We're working on the timetable again now... which we thought was done long ago. 985 will be in full view and still in action in the yard, just a shame we can't get her out on a passenger train.

    Good visit today, plenty to keep you occupied, plenty of visitors which should bring income for the line.

    All locos looked very smart.

    Well done to all involved, especially with a timetable re-write so soon to the event.

    Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, it really does mean a lot to us as we had a very challenging few days in the run up to the event. Sorry I'm only just replying, all of my spare time on Sunday night and Monday was spent asleep, my body insisted it was that way!
