The loco is ready but I hear rumours that there has been no change in the Ouse bridge situation???? So looks very like 46233, but not yet confirmed.

Tickets for the 24th come today. Confirming 60009 as motive power. Make of it what you can with the Ouse bridge restriction.
So long as its steam I don't mind.

46233 had a test run to Chester yesterday and 60009 is not in steam. Three Cl.66 were sent to York at the weekend possibly to test the bridge, but have heard nothing to confirm one way or the other.

Well Uksteam.info confirms it's Union of South Africa. I'm going to see her at Wakefield in the Morning.

Well it's still of much interest whatever engine pulls it but it would be my only chance to see 60009 this Year.

Stood watching from sowerby new road, the Leeds stopper via brighouse went down then another service train via halifax. Rain came so I went.

That's generally the Leeds stopper via brighouse that gets pathed in front of flyer. Happened to us on July 27th trip.
