    Would love to see it back on the SVR! I have vague memories of it visiting late nineties/early 2000's when in BR black. Lovely looking loco.

    So odd, I was sure i remembered it being in mixed traffic black...must be my memory playing tricks! Great bit of footage at the end here of 8572 pulling away from sterns...cracking sound!

    No, no its not that. I've got many fond memories of the K4 on the valley but it was definitely 61572 i was thinking of here. I think i can be excused, I was 6 at the time!

    The pictures on that page show it in LNER green but 2857 is talking about it having visited the SVR when painted BR black.

    8572 is now home again in Norfolk. For more details, follow the M&GN Society Loco Club and M&GN Society Facebook Pages. 8572 will be running over the NNR's Spring Steam Gala on the 9th, 10th & 11th March and will be making several trips paired with the M&GN Society's Teak Quad-Arts set.
