    I think that is (just) a reasonable answer, although one could always question JS as an emergency ration, water would have probably been stronger and tastier!

    A steady 30 up Shap in a freezing blizzard, and 35 over the summit.

    1728 Shap, circa 34mph.
    Everything I own is frozen. Sounded fantastic.

    Windows are frozen, complete white out outside.

    Yes I did. Reminded me of 1983, I think it was, with Leander and the Midland Compound. Totally different footage from last weeks, but just as enjoyable. Thanks a lot for posting, I felt for you, listening to the snow hitting the microphones.

    Today's run was very lucky by the sounds of it. The service train (which was the one I was getting on) following it 40 minutes later, north up the S&C only made it as far as Ribblehead where there was a points failure. There was a 2 hour delay before it eventually got going again.
