    I Wondered Since The Great Western Railway Celebrated Their 175TH Anniversary In 2010
    So I Wondered When The Other 3 Railway Companies Celebrated Their 175th Anniversaries

    Pretty much, you'll have a long wait unless you want to celebrate a pre grouping companies anniversary, remember the GWR WAS a pre grouping company, it just continued to exist after the grouping by absorbing other companies, the others made new companies in the other three (LNER, LMS & Southern) that we know now.

    The NYMR or Whitby and Pickering 175th was a couple of years ago.

    175 years after the companies started would seem a good option! I for one have no intention of being around to find out whether they go for this option!

    London Underground is 150 in 2013. Quite a few other big railway anniversaries that year.
