Just wondered, but does the Swanage Railway offer lineside photographic passes for Galas? And how can I obtain one?

No lineside passes are on offer, but to be honest you don't really need one; the vast majority of the best spots are on non-railway land or around foot crossings.

Many thanks for publishing the timetable, allows me to sit at home and plan my day Sunday in advance! One question which I could not see written on timetable, does anyone know which way each loco is facing? Thanks

This is something that may change from day-to-day and possibly during the course of each day.
I believe currently facing Norden are Manston and Eddystone with the possibility that DNZ might also be turned tomorrow [engine/tender split and turned separately] to 'match' and also be ready for it's departure to Eastleigh after the Gala.
I think the rest face Swanage (53; 80104; and 6695).
The N2 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow [Tuesday] so have no clue which way it will face during the Gala.

A4 has been turned to face Wareham, N2 is currently facing Swanage but may turn during the weekend. We will be advising the booking office when we intend to turn locomotives allowing people to make their way to the engine shed viewing area to view the turn.

    Hope to see you there!

Plenty of excellent spots, up Corfe Castle is nice... http://www.flickr.com/photos/alts1985/4996271977/in/set-72157622434448540

Loads of angles from the fields around Harmans Cross, there is a footpath that runs from station to A351. One angle... http://www.flickr.com/photos/alts1985/4847583982/in/set-72157622434448540

Might be coming along on Friday. Does anyone know how much the bus from Wareham Station to Corfe Castle costs?

Wilts & Dorset fares went up a bit last month but shouldn't be too much more I hope!
