    Thats a nice video don't do yourself down.........setting off into the sunset.....let's hope steam on the mainline is'nt ready for that yet.....and as for the 8F, what a little belter that is.......

    Lovely sound from the motion as it ran into the station. Looked like an everyday scene, given the number of people on the platform it was a scene that could have been during BR steam days, one of the summer saturday specials to the sea.

    8F in steam and piled high with coal when 44932 arrived back at Carnforth this afternoon.

    is that Incline approaching R & W really as steep as it looks on video or is it some sort of optical illusion ??? 8F seems to take it in her stride. Excellent footage.

    mmmmm Thanks for that. Just the engine for the job then ! i don't suppose their are many steeper gradients on the regular steam network at the moment. Discounting, Ais Gill, Shap, Weymouth ??? I might even have them wrong ! And I'm ready for the ideas . Cheers all (shout Lickey but I don't think thats regular at present)
