For an extra engine, why not paint Llangollen's Blue Jinty, if not needed elsewhere, into BR black?

Very interesting... Now for a Southern interloper, perchance, to add a bit more variety? Pretty please with a cherry on top and icing on the cake with hundreds and thousands placed in order of colour? Regardless, it's looking good, at any rate.

Thats good news. What a great line-up. What about a southern loco to make it a full house.

We now have information on other attractions that we be at Llangollen Railway for Steel, Steam & Stars 3.

At Llangollen station, there will be a Real Ale festival during the 9 day event, and there be the opportunity to visit the shed to see the progress on 6880, as well as other projects. The 6880 team will also have a sales stand.

At Glyndyfrdwy, there will be a vintage vehicle rally, plus a model railway exhibition.

At Carrog, the Talyllyn Railway's locomotive No. 2 'Dolgoch' will operate on a specially laid 2' 3" gauge track & footplate rides will be available. Plus, there will be Miniature Railways and Model Engineering Displays, for which rides are available). On Monday to Thursday only, people will get the chance to 'Drive an engine'. Or Pay & Play as it was at SSS2.

On a recent trip to Llangollen I saw 2 Teak coaches at Pentrefelin. How close are these to running as they'd look superb behind the N2?

Furthermore, what state are the Maroon Non Corridor Suburban Coaches in?

    Thanks,
    Lewis

The two Gresley coaches are nowhere near running. The brake compo E4229E is under restoration. The other one, E.C.J.S. 377, is used as a stores vehicle. Both have been cosmetically restored to keep the site looking tidy.
As for the suburbans I believe that work is to start shortly on one of them - probably minor body repairs & a paint job.

    Bob.

Now into Gala season and yet no sign of a leaflet...

No stand at Llan's ASG either which was surprising seeing as it was the last steam gala at LR before SSS3.
