    Right,

So far I have got about 7 names signed up to help out with this gala.
There is not currently a job list, so if you can help out either for one day or more, please get in contact with me, with your full name, address and telephone details.
Also detailing what jobs you have done in the past if any, and which jobs you would like to do.

Safety equipment will be supplied by Nat Pres,
And a free beer or three at the meet up.

    Cheers

I hope you will not be victims of the LLangolen rly "conception" of the railway tickets:eg crappies bus or supermarket "tickets" alike! (the crappiest I have ever seen on a british preserved railway!!!!!!!!!!!):painkiller:
This has spoiled my trip on this railway some weeks ago(the last time I visited it was in 1992: they used these marvellous Edmonson tickets then!!!!!!!)
    regards
    noe

For SSS events the 6880 Society provide a completely different ticket themselves, which are only available during this event only.

I have offered to help out on this for a few days, I certainly enjoyed the KESR gala and CVR/MCR reopening last year.

Idea I had in my head have they thought about hiring the Coal Tank from the KWVR and the Super D? Recreate the famous railtour on the Heads of Vally line and then one of the weekdays could be a North Wales Coast Day with those two, the Black Five and 'Britannia'....

Ideally you need Class 3 locos and above. Class 2s are limited to 5 coaches at LR, though some owning groups limit them to 4. It took a lot of persuasion to have allowed 9017 to haul 5, and tbh we got away with it because of the weather. Had it rained she would have had problems. If they can't haul 5 individually then they are reduced to the freight and subs only, and will require doubleheading / banking on anything longer. Though then again what do I know?

I would seriously doubt the subs will be available next year!! Well, not all of them anyway.

Rather than big engines that look out of place and won't make too much noise, how about something smaller and a bit more appropriate like 3205? That, Erlestoke Manor and 76079 would be my choices.

Not available for hire to other heritage railways until circa September 2012, as I understand it.
